Who is Ascent for?
Anyone who is 13-years or older and wants to join a group of people with similar interests and benefit from collaborating with them to achieve and enrich their learning goals.
School students: Year 10 and Year 11 (O-level/GCSE) students and Year 12 and Year 13 (A-level) students
University undergraduate students: especially foundation-year or first-year students who are making the transition from school to university life
University graduate students: especially those students who feel they are more isolated, working in smaller “labs” or living further out from the university and want to be more integrated with the larger graduate community
Academics: especially those who are working toward publications and can benefit from regular writing sessions to get the work done and avoid procrastinating
Researchers who are interested in joining special interest groups or finding others to join their groups in order to benefit from wider collaboration to achieve their goals
Business people who want to broaden membership of their special interest group (e.g. learning a new language, technical skill, etc.) across the industry or geographies who can benefit from wider collaboration to achieve their goals and enrich their learning journey
Business people or academics wishing to develop mentor/mentee relationships across the industry and expand their skillsets and experience
Medical students or medical professionals now working at different locations/placements and looking for ways to facilitate collaborative discussions related to training sessions, upcoming exams, continuing professional development credits, etc.
